A New Version Of CP Stability
Earlier today, I posted some charts from the Federal Reserve’s Commercial Paper website (click here or scroll down a few posts). Apparently, the data they had provided was wrong and someone must have informed them that the charts weren’t quite the picture of stability that had been presented by Chairman Bernanke and the media. HMMMM!?! I am glad they figured that out!
Here’s the announcement: “The commercial paper rates and volume statistics for November 15, which are derived from source data provided by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), have been reissued to reflect corrected source data.”
I love accurate data so in the spirit of not misleading people with my prior post, I thought it would be good to show the new version of stability from the “corrected source data.” And I ask you once again, does this look like stability to you?
